Has anyone gotten this component to run with NOF 9?

I copied the \components\coolmaps folder from NOF 7.0, but trying to add the
component to a page crashes my NOF 9.

Hi Leroy,

I'm using Random Acts here, (http://www.mansfieldscouting.com), (banner
photos) with NOF v9. The coolmaps components had to be updated to work
with version 9. Unfortunately you can't just purchase the components you
want as the only way to get updated components is to purchase the Goldmine
Edition. It's my understanding that they should also work with v9.1 but I
haven't updated yet (chicken !!).

I have Goldmine, but for version 7 (or 7.5 -- I don't remember.)

Do you know if the components themselves have changed or whether it's just
the installer? I'm on 9.1 for no particular reason.

Not sure but I believe the components themselves had been updated. Seems to
me, based on some of the previously posted threads, that the *.jar files
had to be edited. I think some of the components were able to be fixed
this way.

Take a look back a the following thread for a little more info:

Thanks. I've had a look at that post, followed the instructions, but NOF
9.1 still crashes when I add the Random Acts component to a page.

Do you know of anyone successfully using the updated Goldmine bundle with
9.1?

Do you know of anyone successfully using the updated Goldmine bundle with

It sounds as though the answer is no?

Hi Leroy,

Been real busy and just getting back to things. I think I'm going to go
ahead and download 9.1 and then I can tell you first hand. Maybe by
tomorrow. I'll try random acts first.

Forgot to mention. The last Goldmine package I purchased (for v9.0) works
with NOF v10 beta , to the extent that I tried an import of a v9 site in a
template with two of the Goldmine components on them. Both Random Acts
and Quick Drop seemed to be ok. I'm assuming all will be ok with v9.1 as
well.

Ok Leroy,

Your post gave me the impetus to go ahead and apply the 9.1 update and
everything worked fine on the one page I republished with 2 Coolmaps
components from the Goldmine 9 upgrade. Now to go ahead and republish the
balance of my site to get everything up to W3C compliance!

Per my earlier post, this page: http://www.mansfieldscouting.com, has been
republished with v9.1. If you hard refresh your browser you'll notice the
photo banner changes between three different photos with the Random Acts
component.

Hopefully this will give you a little confidence in moving forward. Good
Luck.
