Discussion:
Components in Fusion 10?
(too old to reply)

Hello everybody,

Is it possible in fusion 10 to center the page vertical & horizontal?
And I mean not by tweaking the code like some of you do.
I know you can center a page by just clicking the "center page" button, but
that is only left-right centering (don't know how to put it in english)
Why is it not possible to centre the pager (up-down) in NOF?
Is it that difficult to put this function in NOF?

Thx in advance...

Alain

(all the websites that I made in NOF 3-7,5 and that use centering pages
up-down-left-right, can not be transferred to NOF 9 which I am using now,
because my components I bought over the years are not compatible with NOF 9,
pitty & strange)

That's the only bad thing I have to say about NOF, for the rest I really
love it. That's why I want to know the above. If I have to tweak the code of
the websites I did make with all the previous versions, I am up for a few
weeks of work!

This is how I do it in versions 8, 9 and it should work the same in ver 10.

http://alt-web.com/Tutorials/centered.html

Centering left to right is done with the center button or by using a
<div align="center> code in the beginning of body tab
and </div> in the end of body tab.

Centering a page top to bottom isn't usually necessary because the page
increases or decreases in size based on the amount of content you put in the
layout.

Without an example to look at, I'm guessing you want a box to appear
centered on a contrasting tiled background as an intro page or something.

You can get that effect by placing a layout region on your page as in this
example

Good luck on your project,

Hello Nancy,

Look at this site: http://www.aaroncrow.com/
It's a good example of what I mean.
Even if you make the window larger or smaller, the website jumps to the
center.
That's something I think your solution doesn't do for up & down?

Thx anyway for the anwser!!!

Have you read the initial question?
My question is very simple.
Why does this need to been done via a thirth party component, is it that
difficult to implement this in NOF?
Is it implimented in NOF 10, or do you need to tweak the code?
For me it will take a hell of time to tweak all the previsious sites.
Or do I really have to keep working with all these different versions of NOF
on 1 computer?

Oh yes, before I forget it, I made that site www.aaroncrow.com, so I know it
is done with a component.
It is done with Page Align from Coolmaps.
It doesn't work anymore with NOF 9.
I tried the solutions given here in other threads, no way of getting it to
work.
So now I really am screwed for al the sites I used that component on!

I mean no disrespect to anyone here, but am I the only one here who has his
doubts?
I can't understand why it is not possible to have something like that
implemented in NOF...

Thx in advance for you awnsers, Like I said, respect for all people here who

Here's how to center vertically (and no, there is no way of doing this in
NOF directly). It can go in Master HTML or Page HTML depending on whether
you want the whole site done or not:

Between Head Tags

<style>
<!--
html,body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
div {
-moz-box-sizing: border-box;
box-sizing: border-box;
}
div#midpage {
height: 100%;
valign: middle
align: center
}
-->
</style>

Note: <<<<<<<change "height: 100%;" to 90% for visual center as opposed to
actual center.

Beginning of Body

<div ID="midpage">
<table height="100%" width="100%">
<tr><td valign="middle" align="center">

End of Body

</td></tr></table></div>
